The JSBE Foundation's Master's Thesis Grant application is open again. The application closes on 21st of December. Master's level students at the Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics can only apply for the grant. The recipients of the grants will be selected by the foundation's board.

The foundation's criteria for awarding the grant have changed. The foundation now awards Master's Thesis Grants based on the need and expenses of the Thesis. The foundation's board expects applicants to provide a report of the expenses related to the Master's Thesis, for which the grant would be used. These could include, for example, travel, licenses, or other expenses incurred by the thesis.

How do I apply?

By December 21st, students must submit a short written application (about one page) and fill out the form below. In the message section of the form, include a link that allows the foundation's board to access your application. Save your application as a PDF in a cloud service (e.g., Google Drive) and add the link to the form.

NOTE! Ensure that the content of the link is readable and accessible to those who receive the link without requiring login. Therefore, check the sharing settings for your file. If the link does not work for you, you may alternatively send your application and its attachments to saatio@porssiry.fi.

Your application must include the following

• Application Letter (approximately 1 page). Please address at least the following points:

  • Why do you specifically need this grant to complete your Master’s thesis?

  • Why is the grant important for your thesis in particular?

  • What expenses are associated with your thesis?

  Attachments:

  • Expense report or budget. Itemize the costs clearly. If you already have incurred expenses, you may attach receipts or invoices.

  • Master’s thesis research plan prepared in accordance with JSBE guidelines.

  The application deadline is Sunday, 21 December 2025 at 23:59.
