JSBE-säätiö hakee graduntekijää

JSBE-säätiö hakee graduntekijää säätiön toimeksiantoa varten, yksi henkilö tai kaksi jos työ tehdään parityönä.

Säätiön tausta: 
JSBE-säätiön tarkoituksena on tukea Jyväskylän yliopiston kauppakorkeakoulussa opiskelevien sosiaalisia, ammatillisia ja henkisiä sekä opiskeluun, opintoihin ja opiskelijaelämään liittyviä pyrkimyksiä ja olla opiskelijoiden yhdyssiteenä. Lisäksi säätiö tukee Pörssi  ry:n sekä Jyväskylän yliopiston kauppakorkeakoulun toimintaa. Säätiö on perustettu vuonna 2018, jolloin Pörssi ry ja sen aiempia toimijoita yhdessä JSBE:n kanssa perusti säätiön tukemaan opiskelua ja tutkimusta.

Ketä haemme:
Haemme Jyväskylän yliopiston kauppakorkeakoulun maisterivaiheen opiskelijaa, joka on menestynyt opinnoissaan hyvin, ja jolla on korkea motivaatio tehdä laadukas gradu toimeksiantona säätiölle. Toivomme, että sinulla on peruskäsitys eri tutkimusmetodeista ja niiden soveltamisesta. Eduksi nähdään järjestöjen tai säätiöiden toiminnan tuntemus ennestään sekä innostusta kehittää toimintaa, ja tutkia strategisia näkökulmia. Opiskelijan pääainesuuntaus voi olla mikä tahansa ja työ tehdään suomeksi tai englanniksi. Opiskelijalta vaaditaan kuitenkin sujuvaa suomen kielen taitoa.

Mikä on aihe:
Säätiöllä on voimassa oma kolmivuotinen strategia vuosille 2024-2026, joten säätiö tarvitsee analyysin ensimmäisen strategiakauden onnistumisesta sekä näkemystä tulevaa strategiaa varten eli työtä hyödynnetään käytännössä säätiön toiminnan hyväksi. Työssä voi hyödyntää säätiön kirjallista materiaalia, analysoida säätiön toiminta- ja johtamistapoja, sijoitustoimintaa, toimintamuotoja sekä esimerkiksi haastatella aiempia hallituslaisia vuosien varrelta, sekä tehdä vertailua muihin vastaavan tyyppisiin säätiöihin.

🗓️ Valmiin gradutyön deadline on viimeistään 31.5.2027, ja työn aloitusajankohta sovitaan erikseen, mutta aloitus on viimeistään syyskuussa 2026.

💰 Toimeksiannosta maksetaan 4000€ palkkiona (jos toimeksiannon tekijöitä on kaksi, palkkio on 2000€ per henkilö). Palkkio (työkorvaus) on saajalleen veronalaista tuloa.

Gradun työtapa ja ajallinen rytmitys on vapaa, ja säätiön hallituksesta toimii yksi toimeksiantajan yhteyshenkilönä opiskelijan suuntaan. Toimeksiannosta laaditaan toimeksiantosopimus, mutta se ei ole työsuhde. Mahdolliset tutkimuksen tekemisestä aiheutuvat suorat kustannukset sovitaan toimeksiantajan kanssa ennakkoon erikseen. Säätiö pidättää oikeuden olla toteuttamatta toimeksiantoa, mikäli sopivia hakemuksia ei saada.

Tämän gradutoimeksiannon mahdollistaa Strategiklubi ry:n lahjoitus. Strategiklubi ry lakkautettiin joulukuussa 2019, ja yhdistyksen omaisuus lahjoitettiin säätiölle opiskelijoiden tueksi. Strategiklubi toimi Jyväskylän yliopiston kauppakorkeakoulun, elinkeinoelämän ja yliopiston muiden tieteiden keskinäisen yhteyden edistäjänä vuosina 1986-2019.

Hae vapaamuotoisella maksimissaan yhden sivun hakukirjeellä viimeistään sunnuntaina 31.5.2026, jossa esittelet itsesi, miten näet aiheen ja miksi sinut tulisi valita. Liitä myös mukaan CV ja opintosuoritusote. Laita hakukirjeesi ja liitteet PDF-muodossa säätiön sähköpostiin info@jsbesaatio.fi ja otsikoi se ”Toimeksiantohakemus”.

Valinta tehdään ensisijaisesti hakemuksen perusteella eli erillisiä haastatteluita ei lähtökohtaisesti järjestetä. Hallitus pyrkii tekemään valinnan kesäkuun alussa ja hakijoille sekä valitulle henkilölle ilmoitetaan henkilökohtaisesti.

The JSBE Foundation is seeking a Master’s thesis writer

The JSBE Foundation is looking for a Master’s thesis writer for a thesis commissioned by the foundation — either one person or two people if the thesis is written as a pair project.

Background of the foundation:

The purpose of the JSBE Foundation is to support the social, professional, academic, and personal aspirations of students at the Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics, including matters related to studying, studies, and student life, and to serve as a link among students. In addition, the foundation supports the activities of Pörssi ry and the Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics. The foundation was established in 2018, when Pörssi ry, together with some of its former members and JSBE, founded the foundation to support studying and research.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a master’s-level student at the Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics who has performed well in their studies and has strong motivation to produce a high-quality Master’s thesis as a commissioned project for the foundation. We hope you have a basic understanding of different research methods and how to apply them. Familiarity with the operations of associations or foundations is considered an advantage, as is enthusiasm for developing organizational activities and examining strategic perspectives.

The student’s major subject may be in any field, and the thesis may be written in Finnish or English. However, fluent Finnish language skills are required.

What is the topic:

The foundation currently has its own three-year strategy for 2024–2026, so it needs an analysis of the success of this first strategy period as well as insights for the upcoming strategy. In other words, the work will be used in practice to benefit the foundation’s operations. The thesis may make use of the foundation’s written materials, analyze its operating and management methods, investment activities, and forms of operation, and may also include interviews with former board members from over the years, as well as comparisons with other similar foundations.

🗓️ The deadline for the completed thesis is no later than May 31, 2027, and the start date will be agreed separately, but the work must begin no later than September 2026.

💰 A fee of 4000 EUR will be paid for the commissioned thesis project. If there are two authors, the fee is 2000 EUR per person. The fee is taxable income for the recipient.

The working method and schedule of the thesis are flexible, and one member of the foundation’s board will act as the contact person for the student. A commissioning agreement will be drawn up for the project, but it is not an employment relationship. Possible expenses on the thesis work must be agreed beforehand with the foundation. The foundation reserves the right not to proceed with the commission if no suitable applications are received.

This commissioned thesis opportunity is made possible by a donation from Strategiklubi ry. Strategiklubi ry was dissolved in December 2019, and the association’s assets were donated to the foundation to support students. Strategiklubi served to promote connections between the Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics, the business community, and other academic disciplines at the university from 1986 to 2019.

How to apply:

Apply with a free-form application letter of no more than one page by Sunday, May 31, 2026. In the letter, introduce yourself, explain how you see the topic, and why you should be selected. Please also attach your CV and transcript of records. Send your application letter and attachments in PDF format to the foundation’s email address at info@jsbesaatio.fi and use the subject line “Application for Thesis Project.”

The selection will be made primarily on the basis of the application, so separate interviews will generally not be arranged. The board aims to make the selection in early June, and applicants as well as the selected person will be informed personally.
